Rick Kaestner

Rick is a CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Reimbursement) Water Treatment Consultant and member of various AAMI/ANSI Standard committees, playing a large role in the development implementation of ANSI/AAMI Standard 108 (ST108) – Water for the Processing of Medical Devices.

Rick regularly consults on specialty water applications to meet various standards incorporating FDA and other regulatory body guidance in specialty water applications:  Food Production, Pharmaceutical USP-WFI, Processing of Medical Devices, Hemodialysis, and more.  Rick has designed well over 300 high purity / process water systems.  

Rick has reviewed several hundred systems in regard to compliance with best practices of TIR 34-ST108 regarding Medical Device Processing and is seen as an industry expert in this area by many across the United States.
